Welcome to Hertland Homestead
Thank you for visiting! My name is Brittney Samudio and I am a wife, mom and the quilter behind Hertland Homestead! I was originally taught by my Grandmother, Elenor, 13+ years ago. She made over 100 quilts in her life time, all by hand, which is how she taught me.
Although my skills and techniques have moved into machine, having a hoop in my lap will always have a piece of my heart. What started out as a hobby and gifts for family and friends, quickly grew into new learned skills, a long arm machine, and a very busy business. The majority of my business comes from quilting services, custom quilts and t-shirt quilts but I love to be involved in local craft shows in my hometown of Fulshear, TX.
My background is in art and design, and quilting is an ever changing art that runs deep in my blood. All of my work is a mixture of years of color theory, imagined patterns and the goal to provide beautiful memories to the families that trust me with their projects!
